Our brand-new event for PhD candidates offers two days of career-advancing, skill-building training, from leading experts in their fields.
The 2020 Futures Lab takes place in the spectacular alpine setting of Sciences Po Grenoble, from 25 – 26 June; check out the newly published daily schedule.
First speakers confirmed for this exciting event include Laura Hood, politics editor of the Conversation, and publishing guru Roger Haydon of Cornell University Press.

2020 ECPR General Conference University of Innsbruck
We're now accepting Panel and Paper proposals to Europe's biggest gathering of political scientists, which takes place at the University of Innsbruck from 26–28 August this year.

There are a massive 73 Sections on a huge variety of themes as well as 4 Roundtables, as follows:
  • Political Science in Europe: Challenges and Prospects
  • Decolonisation – Linking the Curriculum and the Political Practice
  • Big Data in Political Science
  • Climate Change – a Game Changer or just another Variable for Political Research?

Stein Rokkan Prize for Comparative Social Science Research
Stein Rokkan Prize – deadline fast approaching! 
Nominate by next Friday 14 February for this prestigious $5,000 award for excellence in Comparative Social Science Research, presented by ECPR in conjunction with the International Science Council (ISC) and the University of Bergen.
Also open for nominations are the Hedley Bull Prize in International Relations, the Mattei Dogan Prize and our biennial Lifetime Achievement Award.

5th Summer School on Teaching & Learning Politics
Organised by our Standing Group on Teaching & Learning Politics, this event takes place at Comenius University in Bratislava, 6 – 13 July. €270 participation fee includes accommodation, food and drink, tuition, e-reader and a half-day trip to the Eszterháza Palace.

Conference – The State of Democracy in Southern Europe: Democratic Decline or Resilience?
Call for Papers for this conference organised by the Greek, Italian, Spanish & Turkish Politics Specialist Groups of the UK Political Studies Association, in conjunction with ECPR's Standing Group on Southern European Politics and the Aston Centre for Europe.
Event takes place 25–26 June, at Aston University in Birmingham.
To take part, submit a Paper title and 150–200 word abstract to by Monday 16 March.

£500 annual award for a previously unpublished essay on any topic in political science.
